What I say is totally heartfelt and, in my opinion, it is a very long time in coming. That is why I am more than willing to help in any way that I can... There must be some conscience for the horse ...I have waited 35 years for this sort of thing to happen.
...did a phenomenal job of orchestrating the Sound Horse conference. The program was extremely educational.
The education for the sound horse person was priceless
It was an
amazing conference. I learned a lot about current
technology, and very impressed with all of the knowledgeable vets and
other experts there to contribute.
I was also impressed with how other breeds/associations deal with
their problems, which further highlighted our breed association'
unwillingness to confront the issue straight on. This
constant "protection" of the industry by both the executives within
TWHBEA as well as the congressmen and women they lobby to support
them tells you that they believe they have been elected into those
positions of power specifically to protect that industry and the
money flow within it.
Thanks again, and I hope I'm able to make next year's conference as
well. It was very enlightening, and I hope we see some positive
actions result.
I want to volunteer to help at the 2009 conference ... I currently live in Florida and would love to help with this amazing cause.
I kept a listing of all the breeds represented at the Conference: Walking Horses (various associations), Missouri Fox Trotting Horses, Mountain Horses; Saddlebreds; Friesians; Percherons; Quarter Horses; Islandics; Arabs. Thank you for putting on a very professional and informative Sound Horse Conference. I was very impressed with the new technologies. Great job to all involved!!!
With our
array of distinguished panelists, our conference had a tremendous amount of
credibility and
visibility within the equine community.
I am the president of the Swiss Tennessee Walking Horse Association and founding member of the Natural Walking Horses www.naturalwalkinghorses.eu . First of all I would like to congratulate and thank you for the Sound Horse Conference you conducted. Hopefully the States will move a step forward and stop the abuse of these wonderful horses.STWHA (www.stwha.ch) is fully committed to the Sound Walking Horse. The Swiss animal protection law is extremely strict on these kind of things and therefore we have a very good back-up should someone intend to abuse their horse.
Many thanks. These PowerPoints (on Information & Communication) are a big, big help.
I meant to tell you in one of my earlier notes what a great conference this was, and what a great job done by you and your folks working with you.
Thank you for the follow-up. I really enjoyed being a part of this conference to end such a cruel and inhumane practice. Meeting you and doing the research that I did opened my eyes to something I never knew about. I wish you the best of luck in your endeavors to end soring. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you ever need anything in the future.
I was proud to be invited to the conference. The event was very well done and
organized. Your research is truly impressive. As I've reflected on the
conference, my mind keeps coming back to the tremendous command you have over
the data regarding HPA and violators. You did a grand job of organizing
the conference. Please keep me in mind for next year's conference.
Sound Horse
Conference 2008 was absolutely sensational! A giant step in achieving better
treatment of our equine friends! I think it was successful beyond anyone's
imagination
